The island of Anguilla will hold its 11-day
Anguilla Summer Festival 2006 Aug. 3-13.
"Experience the magic of a cultural mix" is the theme of this year's event, the idea of which dates back to 1940.
There will be music, a children's parade, a Miss Anguilla and Prince and Princess pageants, early morning street dancing, Calypso competitions, Reggae nights and more.
All of this is tied to boat races--the Champion of Champions boat race and Grand Finale Fireworks on Aug. 13.
